The Fling
Elda Minger

What woman hasn't contemplated a no-holds barred, no emotions involved fling? But for Kate Prescott, her idea backfires when she falls in love with "Mr. Fling"

Kate Prescott has sworn off men after a disastrous run of dates. When her cousin, Patti, gets stood up at the altar on Valentine's Day, Kate's uncle comes up with a plan -- Kate will take Patti on her honeymoon to Maui, to get her away from the prying eyes of their large, extended family and to give a devastated Patti a chance to heal.

On their flight to the islands, Kate meets Cherry Jubilee, a former Vegas showgirl, who is traveling to Maui with the intention of bagging herself a millionaire. Cherry has had it with dating as well, after her experiences in Vegas. The three women team up and decide to help support each other in getting what each of them want. They set their goals and decide to go for it!

Kate, deciding that men and the emotional chaos they cause are just too much trouble, decides to have a fling, and Hawaii is just the place for it! She meets Jack on the beach one night, and the attraction between them is so volatile that she decides he's perfect fling material. Little does she know that Jack is not what he seems. Though he is, for all appearances, a happy go lucky bartender in Paradise, in reality his father owns the resort and is handing it over to his son in ten days, after Jack spends that time working various jobs undercover so that he will have a deeper understanding of the resort he will untimately run.

Amid mistaken identities and changing perceptions in this Romantic Comedy, Kate and Jack and their various friends come to the realization that, while love is never easy, it's worth every bit of the struggle.

And though Kate has come to these tropical islands with the intention of having a fling and not involving her emotions at all, she finds the one thing she didn't think was in the cards for her -- a man worth keeping, and loving.
