Deborah Simmons

Deborah Simmons is the author of twenty-two historical romances and novellas, including A Man of Many Talents, a launch title for Berkley's new Sensation imprint in June.

A native Ohioan, Simmons graduated cum laude from Wittenberg University in Springfield. The former journalist turned to fiction after the birth of her daughter, and her first book, Heart's Masquerade was published by Avon in 1989.

Simmons' later works include a USA Today bestselling anthology, a RITA finalist, and her popular series on the medieval de Burgh family. She writes both Regency romps and medievals that focus on romance with mystery and humor, as well. Her work has been translated and published in 19 foreign countries, including illustrated Japanese editions.

Her first title for Berkley was the medieval anthology The Knight's Vow, published in September 2001, followed by A Man of Many Talents in June and an as-yet-untitled Regency historical, scheduled for 2004.

Simmons makes her home in rural Ohio with her husband, two children, two cats, and a stray dog that stayed. Readers can write to her at P.O. Box 274, Ontario, Ohio 44833. For reply, an SASE is appreciated.
