Linda O'Brien

Multi-published historical romance writer, Linda O’Brien is the mother of two, stepmother of three, and wife of an attorney, who is also her biggest fan, chief moral supporter and expert back massager. By education, Linda is a teacher, with a master’s degree from Purdue University and six years teaching at the elementary level. By calling, however, she is the classic Irish storyteller, a spinner of yarns, which basically means she has an imagination that tends to run amok. Her novels are known not only for their lusty romances but also for gripping suspense and generous doses of humor.

Linda started her writing life after the birth of her first child, publishing twenty-five children’s stories, before switching to romance. Her sixth novel was chosen by the Rhapsody Book Club as a featured alternate selection, and she has been published in Russian and Italian. Besides Berkley, she has also been published by Avon/Harper Collins. She is a member of RWA, national and local chapters, as well as PASIC and PAN.

Linda’s interests include yoga, power-walking, gardening, collecting crystal figurines, and nagging her children. She lives with her husband in Northwest Indiana, close enough to Chicago to take advantage of all that a big city offers, but far enough away to escape the madness. She and her husband also have a home in Key West, Florida, where dressing up for dinner means exchanging a tank top for a t- shirt.
