Alesia Holliday graduated from The Ohio State University
and then graduated summa cum laude from Capital Law School,
in Columbus, Ohio. Alesia spent several years as a trial
lawyer in complex class action and mass tort litigation.
Now she is a 'recovering' attorney turned best-selling
author. Her first book, the critically-acclaimed E-MAIL TO
THE FRONT, shared the real story of the lives of military
families when one spouse goes to war. Alesia's first novel, AMERICAN IDLE, launched Dorchester
Publishing's new trade paperback line, Making It, in
August, 2004, and is a double finalist in the prestigious
RITA awards for women’s fiction. Publishers Weekly
spotlighted AMERICAN IDLE as auspicious first fiction. Alesia now writes funny novels sometimes called chick lit
for Berkley Trade; her titles NICE GIRLS FINISH FIRST and
THE NAKED TRUTH, an anthology, will be released in 2005.
Her next chick lit title, SEVEN WAYS TO LOSE YOUR LOVER, is
under consideration at several major motion picture studios. Additionally, Alesia writes young adult novels she calls
chick lit for teens, under her pen name, Jax Abbott. Her
first , SUPER WHAT?, an August, '04 release from Dorchester
Smooch, was named to the Young Adult Librarian Society of
American's 2005 List of Recommended Reads for Reluctant
Readers. Finally, Alesia is starting a whole new subgenre with her
chick lit legal thrillers. Berkley Prime Crime will publish
the first in early 2006 – BLONDES HAVE MORE FELONS. Alesia is a co-founder and past Vice President of the
online group, Chick Lit Writers of the World, and a charter
